Recycling mobile phones

Turn old phones into school equipment.

There are estimated to be a staggering 66 million old and unused mobile phones in the UK and still less than 10% of these are recycled. Collecting old mobile phones is another way to get your school more Computers for Schools vouchers – and it's really easy too.

Please visit the Greener Solutions website for more detailed information on this year's Mobile Phone Recycling. You can also find key details below:

  • For every working phone your school sends in, you will be given 30 vouchers, and 5 for a non-working phone.
  • All mobile phones can be either reused or recycled – no matter the age, make, model or working condition.
  • Greener Solutions can also arrange for a FREE courier collection when your school has collected 25 phones or more.
  • FREE Courier collections are on Mondays and Wednesdays but are limited to one each month, so please 'stockpile' phones before arranging a pickup.
  • The last courier collection will be on Wednesday May 26th – phones received after 22nd May will be held in credit until the 2009 Computers for Schools scheme.
