2008 Terms and Conditions

1. The Tesco Computers for Schools scheme (the Scheme) is restricted to schools in the UK and IOM only.
2. Applications from organisations other than schools will not be accepted.
3. There is no limit to the number of items which may be ordered, but the Scheme is restricted to one order per school. Second or subsequent orders will be disqualified and the vouchers banked for use in Computers for Schools 2009.
4. The nominal cash value of the voucher is 0.001p.
5. All orders for equipment and vouchers must be received by the handling house (Tesco Computers for Schools, c/o Cyborg Group Limited, Canal House, Unit 5, Liberty Centre, Mount Pleasant, Wembley, Middlesex, HA0 1TX) by Friday 4th July 2008. No further orders can be accepted after this date. Any vouchers received after this date will be banked for use in 2009.
6. All remaining vouchers must be banked by Friday 26th September 2008. No further vouchers will be accepted after this date.
7. Tesco cannot accept responsibility for vouchers lost, stolen or damaged in the post. Use a method of postage that will provide proof of delivery.
8. Orders will only be accepted on the official order form and in accordance with the 'Ordering' instructions on page 8 of this catalogue. The original order form cannot be amended once we have received it. Equipment correctly supplied in accordance with the order cannot be exchanged unless faulty. Statutory rights are not affected.
9. Vouchers will be issued at Tesco stores and petrol filling stations (excludes ROI and Esso petrol stations associated with Tesco Express stores). One voucher will be issued for each £10 spent in a single transaction, excluding purchases from Concessions and Tobacco Kiosk. Vouchers cannot be claimed for purchases of prescription medicines, infant formulae, National Lottery tickets and scratch cards.
10. The offer applies to any purchase made between 3rd March and 11th May 2008 (exclusions apply – refer to point 9). Vouchers will be issued while stocks last.
11. Vouchers can only be redeemed in accordance with the instructions in this catalogue and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
12. The number of vouchers required for each item is clearly stated in this catalogue. In addition to the vouchers specified, an additional £1 per order is payable to Tesco by schools for the equipment ordered (for which the invoice will be issued – please refer to clause 14 below).
13. By participating in Tesco Computers for Schools, schools give consent to Tesco using their details in local press and publicity materials to promote the scheme in consideration for the sum of £1.
14. The sum payable by Tesco to a school in paragraph 13 will be offset against the amount payable by the school to Tesco in paragraph 12 such that no money need pass physically between Tesco and the school. VAT-registered schools should consider their invoicing obligations.
15. Vouchers are, and will remain at all times, the property of Tesco Stores Limited and may only be redeemed under the Scheme.
16. Where there is any reason to believe there has been a breach of the rules, Tesco Stores Limited and RM Education plc may legitimately refuse to process an order.
17. Equipment ordered will be delivered direct to schools during the Autumn Term.
18. All RM Education plc products are covered by a RM Education plc 12 month warranty. Statutory rights are not affected.
19. Tesco Stores Limited shall not be liable for any damages, claims or costs, however incurred, arising from this Scheme, the use of the computer equipment or the failure by a school to follow the instructions and guidelines set out in this catalogue.
20. The promoter reserves the right to vary the conditions of the Scheme at any time.
21. Schools may organise other bodies/individuals to collect vouchers on their behalf, but no collection of vouchers will be permitted on Tesco premises or Tesco car parks.
22. No cash payments will be accepted in exchange for any equipment in this catalogue.
23. Vouchers may not be transferred between schools, organisations or individuals for monetary payment or any other consideration.
24. Neither the whole or any part of the information contained, nor the products described in this catalogue, may be adapted or produced in any material form except with the prior written approval of Tesco Stores Limited, RM Education plc or the relevant suppliers. The products described in this catalogue are subject to continuous development and improvement. All information of a technical nature and particulars of the products and their use have been provided by RM Education plc or the relevant supplier and are reproduced in the catalogue in good faith. However, RM Education plc and Tesco Stores Limited cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage arising from any product information or particulars in this catalogue, subject to your statutory rights.
25. Ownership of the equipment will be transferred to the schools direct by Tesco Stores Limited.
26. RM Education plc and the RM Education plc logo are registered trademarks of RM Education plc. Tesco and Tesco logo are registered trademarks of Tesco Stores Limited.
27. Vouchers from previous years (1992 – 2007) are not valid in the 2008 scheme unless they have already been banked.
28. Vouchers from the Tesco Sport for Schools & Clubs scheme are not valid in the Tesco Computers for Schools scheme.
29. Tesco reserves the right to vary the conditions of the offer at any time.
